Hello folks,
If all you want is to use a non-40 m Command / ARC-5 Tx, eg, a BC-458 or a T-21 (5.3 to 7 MHz) on 40 m, you only need to adjust the VFO padder and the RF PA padder. No need to replace coils. However, if you plan to move a BC-457 or a T-20 (4 to 5.3 MHz) to 40 m, that requires more drastic measures, such as a coil change.

Also, for anyone who wants a 40M transmitter, Fair Radio is selling the oscillator coil for the 7MHZ transmitters and I suppose it might be possible to transplant one into the 5.3-7MHz transmitters, which I plan to do.

Happy New Year, Y'all!
