I think it would be an excellent move.
One of our "smart people" should write a simple guide
to making photos that are less than the limit.
Something like:
Use .jpg format, never .bmp or .tif files.
Check the file properties for size before posting.
Display size for a .jpg under 256 kB can be quite
large- 1600x1200 pixels. Black-and-White files
are much smaller size-for-size.
