Just to be clear, making a facsimile of the FT-260-A (or the other 
nomenclatures) will not allow you to operate a receiver unless you have the receiver 
in one of the receiver racks because there is no phone jack on any of the 
original local control front plug-ins.  Most (almost all) of the post-war 
modifications to the early FT-230-A or other nomenclature blanking plug-ins 
have a phone jack included (note that it is not easy to fit a phone jack onto 
an FT-230-A unless you put the receiver ON-OFF switch on the gain pot, use 
one of the hard to find long-barrel toggle switchs for either the receiver 
ON-OFF or the BFO ON-OFF or use a very small 3-position rotary switch in place 
of the two toggle switches usually used).

Also, the modified FT-260-A plug-in won't work in an AN/ARC-5 receiver 
unless you also modify the receiver to bring the audio up to the front box.
