I have no Facebook account and don't want one.  But I keep getting requests to join people on LinkedIn.  Only two of them have been people I know.  Where the others come from I have no idea.  Maybe some guy over in Orlando would have a way to know I exist but how did a mining engineer in Wyoming get my name and e-mail?

Also, via my work e-mail address, I keep getting e-mails addressed to "Dr. Eleazer" from Chinese Phd candidates looking for jobs in the US.  I assume those come as a result of the website for the company I no longer work for.

But the best e-mail I ever got was from someone offering a sure fire investment in a gold mine in Australia.  The mining engineer, a Mr. George Washington, had certified the value of the ore, so there could be no question of the validity of the investment.  The e-mail was from a Mr., Abbot Costello.

In any case, if you want pictures and files, I think a Yahoo Group is the way to go, but someone will have to moderate it and keep out the riffraff, and it'll require that we have sign-ins to eliminate the spam.
