Dave,

You're arguably correct with your observations.  That said, I "trust" 
Facebook about as far as I can chuck a 20lb tub of laundry soap.  I gave 
it a try a while back but found it to be of little or no use to me, 
personally.  Maybe... maybe F/B, or the like, would be OK for 
non-personal data posting and such.  What one does not want to happen is 
to arbitrarily lose half of one's audience and participants.
