[ARC5] Dielectric tape

For what it is worth, Kapton is the Dupont trade name for polyimide.  I agree it is great stuff although a bit pricy

I work for a  High Power Power Supply manufacture( 750 to 100,00 Watts systems). We use 3M 1205 kapton, 2 mil thickness,1000 volts isolation per mil. works well under heat and cold. Works great on Baluns.
