[ARC5] [Milsurplus] Special phone jack needed for a friends Stinson L-5

The photo is an enlargement from a tech manual and it looks pretty good to
me as usually you don't get that kind of radio detail in the Liaison
aircraft manuals.

Here is a link to the photo that I just reloaded. Maybe something was messed
up on the first one:

The red arrow points to a 90 degree phone plug that has a standard 1/4 inch
wide, two conductor sleeve and tip which goes in standard phone jack in the
front of the BC-1206.

I think they used this plug because if it was a straight plug the pilot
could break it, bend it or otherwise hurt himself on it as it is close to
his head. That's my guess anyway. You can see the upper one in the AVT is
straight as it is higher and out of the way. They would have used a
commercial 90 degree phone jack available at the time (around 1943).

Roy sent photos of the one he has in his collection. Here are two of those
photos and are just what Bill needs for his L-5.

If any of you happen to have one of these 90 degree phone jacks please think
about selling or giving it to Bill.

This L-5 is his own personal project that he has owned for 10 years and has
been restoring for the last 7. He is one of those guys with an eye for
detail so finding just any 90 degree phone plug isn't what he wants to do.
He would like to find the same exact kind that is pictured so he can be
happy and proud that it is correct. This is one of the last details he needs
to complete the radio portion of this restoration.

It's a worthy project.

Thanks,

Taigh

Not a very good photo.. Is he looking for a spring loaded cover assembly
that fits over a phone Jack? If so I know I have a couple but not sure if
they are the correct one. If someone cam send me a photo I will look... 73

thing I am not sure of is the cap Mine and most I have seen are plastic. If
it is steel we might need to start looking again.
