It's possibly quoted for shipping purposes, since the post sets the total
height of the FT-100 and the package or box can be chosen on that basis.
I'll go with the 1.25" figure you quoted for my shelf measurement.
Thickness 1/16" is a little over 1.5 mm. If fitting to a 3 mm shelf, let's
hope there's enough length in the screws.
