According to my quick and dirty calculations, one would need to add a 5.25 ohm, 5 watt resistor in series with the "other" tube's filaments in order to achieve correct balance if using the 6K6 in place of the 12A6. If you wanted to use a 6V6, then you would need a 7 ohm, 5 watter. Ken W7EKB
