[ARC5] ARC5 To ARC5 QSO

Thanks Bill! I wasn't aware of that net, but should've been and am now.

How about on 40 meters? I think the FISTS/SKCC frequency is 7045. Anything on 7050? How about that one? This is a common frequency in surplus FT-243 crystals, which can be plugged into the Command Set for precise frequency spotting (assuming it still has the functional eye tube).

By the way, as for chirp... I took an aural exam recently, and when the audiologist put a slight warble on the tones, I was able to hear them far sooner than when they were pure pitch. Hmm, imagine that....

 Hi Mike,
Not exactly a calling freq, but the Military CW
net meets on Sunday nights on
 3570 kc, I
believe it is, at 9PM. I have checked in a few times with my

ARC-5. There is usually a pretty good crowd
 with various Mil. rigs.

 What frequencies were you
 using?  What time frame?

Hmm, you never know who might show up.

 What about a calling frequency
 for ARC-5ers?

Was it chirpy? I hear some
 really odd
  chirpy/bloopy cw sometimes. I
 often wonder what  rigs
  they are using. I
find it hard to listen to, so I
  don't
eavesdrop very long. One rig not only chirps, but I
had to chase it down the band!
