It's a good set that can beat an R-24 (or whatever).  I have a CBY46145
(ARA) and without re-alignment the dial reads accurately.
(My set is now 70+ years old.  The flower-pots have dried out, so it
howls a bit, but it's still a "hot" receiver.

Yes, given the dearth of good AM/BC receivers, I think 1 in 1000 is a
quite reasonable.
