Joel,
I didn't look at your ad, but if you ran them once and as an auction,
probably no one who saw it was currently working on or about to work on a
receiver who was willing to pay for something to keep from having to do it
themselves. Always remember that as a class, hams are 2nd or 3rd on the cheapness
scale. Also, some people will buy things to use if they ever get a round
tuit but most won't until all of a sudden they need it. From long experience
with selling NOS, repro and reworked parts for military radios, I would
recommend that you list them fixed price and either 30 days or Good Til
Cancelled. And run them for 6 or 8 months before you give up. But, don't list more
than you actually have on hand ready to ship. And if you sell some through
other channels, immediately edit the ad and decrement the available
quantity. Except in a few unrelated categories, you can't get away with selling
something subject to shipping when you get around to making one (set or
whatever).
