     I got this in Alexandria, Virginia, in the late 1960s. There was 
there a surplus dealer (not a retail guy) who sold to, among others, 
South American governments. He had a order for tubes of the sort that 
were in ARA receivers. He actually paid me (a little) to pull the tubes 
from about 20 receivers that were in original packaging.  I well recall 
slicing my knuckles on the edges of the tube compartments. No damage to 
the receivers, just my skin. The dynamotors had already been scavenged. 
Then he sold me the empty receivers. The tubes were worth more than the 
receivers. Not sure what happened to the other receivers. Probably at 
the Air & Space Museum.
