GEE the old ARC-3! When I joined the Air National Guard in 1954 we had
ARC-3's and SCR-522's in our Douglas B-26's (Not to be
confused with the Martin B-26's!) Never saw the VHF ARC-5 system in a
military aircraft the Air Force had.
