Afternoon all,

Thanks to being off yesterday and today, I got quite a bit done on the
BC-AN-229. :)

*All* of the capacitors have now been replaced. The ones that mount on
top of the chassis have all been re-stuffed with modern units. The ones
that mount under the chassis have been pulled out and replaced with
modern units on terminal boards.

EVERY SINGLE capacitor was bad. The best of the lot managed about 5
megohms. The worst, about 40k ohms.

The front panel connector has been completely wired. When I got the
set, the connector was missing and much of the original wiring had been
modified. A good bit of the wiring is new. I followed the original
color codes the best I could. IE: blue in the schematic is blue with a
white tracer.

Next up: quality control checks. With as much work as I've done to
this set, I'll want to check the wiring at least three times for errors.

Thanks much and 73,
ben, kd5byb
