It's often worth a quick peek on K8DIZ's site. A couple of things that
may be of interest/use in Dave's context:

RD16HHF1  - 16W (output!) 30MHz MOSFET, 2 for $10.
BD139-16 - 8W (dissipation) 18MHz NPN, 6 for $3

Of course the trouble is resisting the urge to fill up the carts with
"a few" handy toroids, etc.
