Robert,
The GF/RU sets aren't all 14 volt. The ones with blue name plates are 28 volt; the ones with black are 14 volt. I said "RU-19" when describing my receiver, but it is a 14 volt radio with black tags; so that may make it an RU-18? It was down in the basement when I wrote the message, so I didn't make the trek to dig it out.

One thing that anyone trying to mix GF/RU and SCR-183/283 components should
be aware of is that (like the radio used with and erroneously called
SCR-522), all GF transmitters and RU receivers regardless of model number are 14
volt sets. Whereas the BC-429 and BC-430 are 28 volt sets (the tube heaters
are wired series-parallel). So although you can operate an RU receiver with a
BC-230, you cannot operate it with a BC-430 unless you provide two separate
DC filament supplies.
