On second thoughts, the fitting I bought was more like the type that on
older cars connected the vacuum pipe to the distributor for spark
advance/retard. The fuel connection to the carburettor that I mentioned was
an internal fit into the carburettor body, as I recall from cars I worked
on at the time.
