Ah, but it would definitely be a bright one. :-)

I wonder if this is a path to getting the audiophools to give up their
VT-52s in place of something significantly more mundane.  "Look, the VT-52
is not a 45 with a different heater but an entirely different tube designed
specifically for military radio use.  If you can't hear the difference - the
absolutely crappy audio outside the 300-3000 cycle range - then you may as
well call it quits because you've got a freakin' tin ear."  :-D
