For years, Illinois Bronze Paint Company made excellent wrinkle paint, in a number of colors, that worked very well. Then, the EPA got involved and made them stop manufacturing the paint. I used to buy the paint in cases of 6-cans to use in the restoration of antique / vintage receivers. Then, sometime in the 1980s, the paint was no longer available.
I don't know exactly what was in the paint that got the EPA involved. But, after that, I have had a very hard time in getting a spray can wrinkle paint that I really like.

The wrinkle finish paint made by Seymour of Sycamore works well. If you
follow all of the instructions. That's who made the Signal Corps Green Ron A
and I sold for a few years. They also make it in black. Don't know whether
they have any other standard colors or not.
