Hi John,

The paint I mentioned is a bit thicker than the 'modelling' paint's I 
have used (on models). I didn't shorten the bristles. I hinted about 'go 
ahead and wreck the brush' but I use two brushes, small and smaller yet. 
I have used them through several projects. I clean them and put them 
away just as if they were expensive or unobtanium items. The method 
doesn't seem to hurt them very much.

Practice a little on some scrap metal - it won't take long to get it.
