Man, I tried every variation of that, with the same hope that you 
expressed, Carl.  Light mist, medium coat, multiple coats...artist' 
clear coat, clear lacquer, you name it.  Nothing looked right.  I think 
the problem is that it fills the valleys and then there are no 
reflections off the "hillsides" that provides the glisten appearance.  
I'd love to hear from someone who has had any success with the clear - 
it would save a pile of otherwise good cans of black wrinkle.  I have 
two boxes of Krylon that are otherwise okay.
