This is all very true however we don't know how the coils are done in the
command equipment so I'd think experimentation is indicated.

The shield has two functions:

Electric field shielding
Magnetic field shielding

The eletri field shieldsing will depend drastically on the way the oils
are wound. Simplified:

 ///////// || ////////     =====> High E shielding effect
GND      H    H      GND



////////// || //////////   =====> Low E shielding effect
H       GND   GND      H


The H field shielding is pretty much indepensant of connetions.
