True, but its PHYSICAL construction also constitutes a pretty fair capacitor.
As to whether or not that "capacitor" effectively bypasses HF hash, that is
beside the point: what we are saying is that a direct connection to a battery
eliminates the inductance caused by long leads.
And all these "suppositions" can be proven by test.
