Well, I just tried fo find my copy of the ARC-2 manual, and can't...at this 
point. I was reminded that the ARC-2 has a variable IF: i.e., it varies as you 
tuned the range. This, of course, makes it unlikely that a "Q-5er" will work 
with it.

Secondly, I was also reminded that there is a way to non-destructively 
narrow up the IF by "adjusting" some coupling capacitors or parallel 
resistances in the circuit, but I have no details on that either.
