I went back and more carefully studied the photos and made the following
conclusions:
The receiver was an (probably NOS) R-10 or R-10A. You can see the silk
screened J-506 just below the 6-9.1 dial. The two Phillips screw heads just
above the dial are plugging the holes for the rivets that originally attached
the nameplate. If the receiver was early enough, the tuning capacitor frame
probably still had the holes for mounting the parts to mount and drive the
dial, which could be taken from any junker. I would guess that the receiver
still covers the BCB.
