People look at eBay and sites like WorthPoint.

If you had a box of old baseball cards, and offered them to me, I might
pay $2/ea on a lark. Some might be worthless, some worth $100,000 or more.

The point is, it takes an expert to tell the difference.

There are many 'rag pickers' on eBay, as well as people that liquidate
estates, and 'seller's assistants'.

Some know their stuff, many don't.

And, as with all things, you don't ask, you don't get. And it's a lot
easier to reduce your asking price than raise it.
