Holy cow!  So they have finally found a part from MH Flight 370!

But, I've got one of those.  Bought it for $1.50 at the TRW Swap Meet in the early 80's.  It looked rather sad, and my original intent was to hack it up for something, like a VFO, but when I plugged in a couple of missing tubes I found that it worked fine.  It then became the object of a restoration effort.  It was missing the top case but another TRW acquisition provided that.  I found that with a hunk of wire on the floor for an antenna I could pick up the LAX parking info station 10 miles away.  It quit working after a bit and my instincts pointed to the LO.  Sure enough, there was a cold solder joint at one coil.

The real outrage in that auction is the shipping price.  I am really disgusted over the people who try to make their money off the shipping charge.  They are essentially holding stuff for hostage.
