Yes, but they were wired series-parallel so that the ordinary receivers 
required 28 VDC for filaments.

There were special variants of some of the receivers, both the ARC-5 series, 
and the later Type 12s, which were factory wired for 14 VDC and had 14 
VDC dynamotors.

The R-148/ARC-5 is the 14VDC version of the R-23/ARC-5 for instance.

In all such cases, they were especially and prominently marked as such. You 
wouldn't want to try to run a 14 VDC receiver on 28 VDC.

The receiver under discussion has that marking plate on the rear deck.
