I'll add my gratitude for Nick's generosity as well.  To that end, after 
scanning and cleaning up, the manual that Nick sent me is now online in 
the documents section at http://aafradio.org/docs/docs.html (at the 
bottom of the section marked "Manuals and Manual Excerpts") - ~6MB in 
size.  It is actually specifically for the SCR-AR-183 and SCR-AR-283 
model, which I seem to recall is the last in the series of both 14v and 
28v counterparts.  There was an inexplicable release of an SCR-AS-183, 
but it was only 14v.
