I was most amused to see a picture of one of the radio tubes, intact but full of water
No question that tube failed the leak test

Up at the Valiant Air Command museum at Titusville they have an FM-1 Wildcat that was recovered from Lake Michigan and restored.
I recall seeing an article in the EAA magazine about an F4F that was recovered from the lake and restored to flying condition. I was most amused to see a picture of one of the radio tubes, intact but full of water.
