A common tale of woe with T-17's is the cord. Brittle outer jacket,
brittle insulation, or both. This has been true for at least 20 years. Some 14
years ago, I had a chance to buy a lot of M-52A/U. This was the post-Korean
War (late 1950's) dog-bone shape replacement for the T-17. But no one ever
wants one of them so for years I've been salvaging them for the cord. I
don't have as many left as I thought I did but probably far more than the few
needed here. Cord has #2 ring lugs one end, to match PL-68. Other end may
have three insulated wires sticking out of the jacket, or may be straight cut
off. Because the mics have been in the sealed bags for 55-60 years with
the cords coiled up, the mics need to be hung from the plug for a while to
straighten them out.
Cord as described - $15 plus $2.50 postage.
Cord with PJ-068 one end - $20.00 plus $2.50 postage. The black plastic
sleeves on the PJ-068 and PL-68 are the same except for what's printed on
them.
