[ARC5] Strange But Very Interesting Receiver

Many people stumble over the middle letter, mainly for reasons that I won't 
spell out.  The TMC equipment model is FFR, for Fixed Frequency Receiver 
(yes, it's tunable).  Coincidentally, The US military nomenclature of the 
complete system (radio mainframe and certain plug-ins and manual and etc.) is 
AN/FRR-49(V).  The Canadian military nomenclature is AN/FRR-502 or 
AN/FRR-502A.  The receiver mainframe in both cases is R-5007/FRR-502 or 
R-5007A/FRR-502A.  Which indicates that the Canadians bought some before the US.  The 
plug-in tuning units all have two nomenclatures, too (TMC and military).  The US 
tech manual is NAVSHIPS 92796(*) which became NAVSHIPS 0967-114-2010.  I 
don't seem to have recorded the TMC instruction book number.
