As someone pointed out, it is a BC-454B, and it looks to be in 
"reasonable" condition.

Trouble is, it looks like there is no bottom plate...which makes me 
wonder what is under the bottom of the chassis.

However, it DOES include a 6743 tuning knob, which have been selling 
regularly on eBay for at least $40.00 each lately.

The nomenclature plate is held on with Philips screws, which someone also 
mentioned, but I have several receivers here with the same thing.

May have been done at a refurb or something.

For $50.00, one could easily sell the 6743 knob for around $40.00 and 
have the receiver.

I've never liked the 6743 knobs: I have several of those. They all cause 
the tuning to have considerable backlash, if one wishes to use the 
receivers in a ham band.

For set-and-forget, they are OK.
