Frankenradio, it is, indeed.   I'm sure the person who made this one up 
thought, all the world, that it would be an engineering marvel. The fact 
that it has that property tag on it is incidental to the whole.  I think 
that center box was some junk brought to bear for the meter and 
speaker?  Maybe the person was a BCB DX'er?  Maybe it even worked for 
him?  But, there it is....  The thing is, we all look at these radios 
from an entirely different viewpoint, now. Even those like me who got 
into radio in the late 50's, the stuff was always there so if one made a 
mistake, modified, or otherwise loused one up, just pull in another 
cheap unit from just about any surplus vendor.  Not so, anymore.....
