Yes: the old Novice Band. I like it there.

Well, I am somewhat reluctant to call CQ, Bill, since 90% of the time, I get
answered by another Californian. I prefer your method of search and
pounce.

I have been staying pretty close to 7050, with short excursions to about
7030 or so.

I have extreme difficulty with a straight key, due to my severe RA, but I do
have both bugs slowed down to below 20 WPM. I can also use the dash
side to send slow CW, but not for long before it starts to hurt.

If we do manage to work, I would appreciate a very accurate signal report
as far as signal quality is concerned. Chirp, clicks, etc. I'm not particularly
worried about drift, though. The VFO stabliizes after about an hour, and it
has been on since early this morning.

I do get some chirp on 20 and above with the VF-1, but on 40 and below, it
sounds very good.

I may refurbish the nice WRL 755 VFO a kind fellow gave me many years
ago. I had one once and it was my favorite VFO.
