Of course it does. In addition, that "4 ohm output" is a clue that the internal
audio output transformer was removed and replaced with something else.

The guy has no idea what he is doing. He has a "Make Offer". I was thinking
about making him an offer of $5.00, just to get started, but then again, if I
DID win the thing, I would hardly know what to do with it...

I have 5 BC band ARC-5 receivers here: only ONE still had the BFO
transformer in it. All of the rest had been hacked into crap. One was
essentially totally destroyed.

"Back in the day", almost all of the BC band jobs had been hacked in to "hi-fi
AM tuners". One of the first steps in this process was to remove the BFO
transformer and toss it. The second step was to totally F.U. the audio stage.

Fortunately, I was able to buy a few 239 KHz BFO transformers from Fair
Radio Sales some time ago.

I **think** I can restore at least three of these receivers....maybe... :-(

I am not pleased.

I also have one of the ARC-12 types which covers the BC band. That one
never did have a BFO transformer from original. It has also been hacked. I
may attempt to install one of the FRS transformers in it...maybe...
