That is sure what it looks like to me. The coffee grinder and the various bits 
attached to it would have been, perhaps, mounted in the panel, with the rest 
put somewhere where it would have fit.

The BC-453 would have been used for receiving the tower, while the TX 
would have been on 3105.

I'm with Bob on this one: I just love these kludges too.

To me they are part of history, and I have always loved reading about and 
seeing historical things.
