Noticed that the Army numbering sequence convention for the engines goes from 1 outboard port 2 inboard port 3 inboard starboard 4 outboard starboard.
Would a naval 4 engined aircraft have them numbered 4 outboard port 2 inboard port 1 inboard starboard 3 outboard starboard consistent with how a series of pumps or other major components installed in a row athwartships on a ship would be numbered?
Fascinating and fun to watch. My favorite part, predictably, was listening to the 3 DC to AC inverters start up on the pre-flight check!
