[ARC5] Balanced antenna coupling...

I am considering putting up a long wire or a loop in my attic, utilizing - believe it or not - military surplus Czech field phone wire; I have about a half mile of it available.  The wire has 4 individually insulated strands inside a sleeve. 

How do you attach the wires to the supports (rafters, etc.?).  I was going to use some ceramic stand-offs about 6 in long that I bought from Fair Radio.
