[ARC5] F-82 radio equipment

Hope everyone had an enjoyable Christmas.

One of my Christmas presents was a book on the
F-82 Twin Mustang.

In an appendix in the back, it listed some of the
avionics equipment used in the various versions of
the aircraft. All radar and navigation, no mention
of communications until the F-82H winterized version.

It lists the BC-453 and BC-454 as LF and HF "radio
receptors" and the AN/ART-13A.

I know the Navy sometimes paired the AN/ART-13 with an
R-26/ARC-5, but this is first time I've seen a reference
to the Air Force doing something similar.

BUT......

I also know that in a lot of these aircraft history books, the
coverage of the radio equipment is pretty slim and sometimes vague.

So the questions are:

Anyone have any documentation on the radio gear in the F-82H? Did
they in fact pair a BC-454 with an AN/ART-13? Since one of the uses of
the F-82H was in Alaska, I can see where HF radio capability would be
an asset.

I did see one cockpit photo that showed a corner of a control box
labeled "VHF RADIO". At first glance it looked like the typical
C-118/ARC-3, but a closer look revealed what looks like the pushbutton
assembly of the C-118 mounted in a different panel. So I'm assuming that
the VHF radio was in fact an AN/ARC-3.
