Need to post a correction on the crystal-controlled BC-230s. 

I have one of the HC-25 stuffed FT-243s
on 7040 KC and it works just fine.
I didn't realize it was 'restuffed" until I looked closer.

However, I also have one with an HC-25 in the 
30-meter rig on 10108 KC that heats and quickly drifts.

So-  The HC-25 stuffed crystal works OK on 40
but at least the one HC-25 on 10108 KC  I have doesn't.
Maybe it's just this crystal?
