Yes, I figured it would have to be choke input. I expect I could also add something like a bucking coil on the primary side if it turns out I need to pull the output voltage down further.

OK. WIth a full-wave bridge and a capacitor input filter, you can expect
almost 850 VDC output.
If you use a choke input filter with enough bleeder to maintain critical
inductance, you can expect about 540 VDC.
