It's interesting to note that her original navigator bailed after he and she survived the crash generally attributed to her poor airmanship.  The "public" frequently confuses foolhardiness for bravery.  And the comment by the former B-52 ops and flight planner about disasters generally having been caused by multiple errors is spot on!
