[ARC5] BC-230 meter repair?

I acquired an old 'superior electronics" tube tester which was a parametric type rather than just emissions.
Unfortunately the meter was open. I had nothing to lose at this point but to open it up and see what what happened. All volt meters are basically an ammeter with a limiting resistor, and this one was no different.
The limiting resistor was wound nichrome that had a corroded open spot. which I soldered up and restored it back to operating condition. It think it changed the changed the value a small bit, but it works well.
If the D'Arsonvol movement coil is bad, then may be fatal. Hopefully it a corroded connection or resistor.

heating element/thermocouple arrangement inside.
