[ARC5] Model D-derived radios - bitzenpieces needed ... was [ARC-5] RU and its ilk.

At the moment, I have an almost complete (he says, fingers crossed hoping
he's right) SCR-A*-183 that has a Tx, mounts for both Rx & Tx, the requisite
control heads, antenna relay, dynamotors (12v), complete set of coils and
complete set of connectors. What I don't have is any sort of receiver, Rx
tubes or any 45s of any sort for the Tx. My Tx is a BC-AR-430 donated (with
the Rx & Tx coil sets) by Dave Stinson to whom I am eternally grateful.
Since all I have is 12v dynamotors, I'll have to modify the heater wiring a
tad bit but that's really minor. I also have good info from Mike Hanz how
to make a "manufacturer supplied" junction box so that's all good. With
that, I even found a source of the correct wire which won't set me back a
massive bundle to purchase.

My GF-11/RU-16 is a little worse off. I have one each Rx & Tx, both sans
tubes*, tube covers, snap slide angle thingies & their mounting screws and,
except for a 47141 6000-7350 KC Tx coil set, no coils. With them, I have a
dynamotor and an Rx control head that actually came from an RU-19. I might
have a remote tuning head but I'm not sure. What I'm still lacking aside
from the aforementioned is an Rx coil set that corresponds (more or less) to
the existing Tx set which would be anything with Band M or N - i.e., 47088,
47099, 47108 or 47112 with 47088 and 47108 preferred - a Tx control head and
an antenna relay. Oh, and connectors for the Rx, Tx, Rx control head, Tx
control head, antenna relay & dynamotor plus all the screws needed to attach
both the Rx & Tx cases to their respective units. The Rx chassis is twisted
some however I think I can still get its case to fit more or less properly.

* Not quite entirely. I have an RK-33 (38233) for the Rx.

The desired end result is operational units for photos my pending website as
well as "show and tell" sessions. The GF/RU doesn't need all the toys since
it will be going into a planned late WW II shipboard ART shop mockup (more
or less realistic if I can find photos of one) along with the ARA/ATA and
AN/ARC-5 equipment. The SCR-A*-183 will be an intact system like it's
[almost complete*] counterpart, the SCR-274-N. I would like to add a second
Rx as a "liaison" Rx as per the very early equipment such as the BC-AA-191
which went with a BC-A*-219 which was part of the SCR-AB-183. (That
sentence structure sucked and I do apologize for that.) I have the extra
control head, connectors and dynamotor to accomplish this but, as noted
previously, no receivers.

* Anyone happen to have an FT-225 modulator mount - or at least the frame
for one - surplus to their needs?

I'll get to the ARA/ATA & AN/ARC-5 gear later along with the other stuff
needed for completeness.

Best Regards,

Michael, K3MXO, CBLA #6, BL01hx15np24 ... or there abouts
Sometimes I pretend to be normal but it gets boring so I go back to being
me.
