[ARC5] [Boatanchors] [Milsurplus] Non inductive resistors

I use Caddock resistors in my Ranger to SB-220 pad.
The resistors are small and get very hot, be sure to allow for adequate heat
sinking and follow the instructions with the resistors.

Those values are way wrong for a 6 bd pad in a 50 ohm system.. If you want
an unbalanced Pi design, they would be 150 Ohms for the shunt in and out and
37 Ohms for the series R in the middle.
If you are looking to build a T pad, then the series in and out are 16.6
ohms and the middle shunt is 67 ohm, not 0.65 as you indicated....It sounds
like the reason that the Caddocks did not work is that you shorted the
middle with the 0.65 ohm and blew it up.. I have had very good luck with
the Caddock products. Just make sure you understand the thermal ratings.
Recommend:
http://chemandy.com/calculators/matching-t-attenuator-calculator.htm right
now for a design calculator.. We have a similar calculator on our website,
but it seems to be down right now.

I am building a 6 DB pad to use with my Heathkit Warrior Amp. I am in need
of some non inductive resistors. A total of three. Two are appox. 16 ohms at
25 watts and one is appox .65 ohms at 25 watts. These resistance values are
just ball park figures. I have tried the Caddock thin film resistors and
have had bad results. If any one has some carbon resistors that would
parallel into these values and is willing to part with them I would
appreciate purchasing same.
Thanks
Bob
