Indeed, the connector is a "special" manufactured by Amphenol. Also, and 
not noticed by me until just now, the insert and the back shell have the 
"AERO" label embossed or molded into each.  Also, on at least one of my 
non-D model cable sets, pin H has a molded 28V next to it and pin N has 
110v molded next to it.  I've asked Bill Perry if he could modify some 
of the standard connector inserts but he said it would not be 
practical.  At least, as Robert points out, the other MS connectors on 
the SCR-543 are common.  Regrettably, one might just have to remove (but 
retain) both the PE-110 and the BC-669 connectors and make up one with 
temporary connectors of the same physical size.  I did this with a MARS 
unit a number of years ago.  Fortunately, I found a cache of cables and 
was able to put things back to original.  If one is not going to use 
certain functions, however, the number of conductors can be reduced for 
any temporary cable set.
