I do agree now, the blue solid copper gimmick is working fine with some
two turns. The blue wire is pretty thick (1.2 mm diameter) relative to
the old gimmick wire (0.6 mm diam.).
I do not understand why your radio has 2 gimmick caps. My squizmatic
shows only one (from the triode grid to the pentode plate).
Another interesting observation in this radio: the BFO signal comes from
the low level end of the oscillator (grid) instead of the plate. I think
most other designs take the output at the high level end.
