 Something else I've learned that may be useful. It is described in some editions of the ARRL Handbook. To estimate the current capacity of secondary windings, place load resistors on them until their voltage falls 10 percent below the unloaded value. The current then is about what the design current was supposed to be. The drawback to this approach is that you need a bunch of appropriate ohm & power value resistors, and a meter for AC current.
